2024-2025
Mrs O'Connor and Mr Gough
Mrs Johnson
Welcome to Year 4! Please find some important information below and take a look at our Spring newsletter. We are really looking forward to continuing our Year 4 journey!
Staffing
We are very happy to be contuinuing with the same team of adults again this term. Mrs O'Connor will be teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mr Gough will teach on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs Johnson will be with Year 4 throughout the week. Additionally, Mrs Prince will support the class on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Here are a few useful reminders:
Things to bring
Please bring your water bottle and a waterproof coat to school every day.
All equipment will be provided and kept on your desk to share as a table. If you wish to bring some extra pens or pencil crayons in a pencil case, you may bring them and leave them in your bag in case you need them for art or publishing work.
PE
Children will need to continue to come into school in their uniform everyday. They will require a PE kit to be kept in school at all times. The kit will need to consist of: a plain (or logoed) light blue PE top, plain navy shorts, a pair of trainers or pumps.
Depending on the time of year children may also need a pair of joggers to be brought in for outdoor PE. On PE days, children will be able to wear their sports hoodies instead of their jumpers if they have them.
Our PE days will remain as Tuesday and Thursday.
Homework, Diaries and Spellings
Homework will be set on Fridays and should be handed in by the following Thursday unless otherwise stated. The work will link to what we are covering in class. On some occasions, work will be sent to you via school spider. Please let us know if your child has any difficulties by popping a note on their homework or sending us a message.
Children will continue to come home with their Reading and Homework Diaries which will contain their homework and spelling patterns that they will be learning in school. Please ensure their Reading and Homework Diaries come into school every day.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again and hearing about you Christmas and New Year activities!
