Year 4 Friday 9th February
Date: 9th Feb 2024 @ 3:39pm
It's felt like a very productive week!
In science, we learned about classification keys to help identify plants and animals. We made our own classification key but instead of using animals we used LEGO figures! After making them, we swapped around and tried eachothers. Don't tell Mrs Lyon but we wrote on the tables instead of paper! (It's ok - we used whiteboard pens and it's wiped off now!)
We have been learning about Lunar New Year in our Whole Class Reading sessions with Miss Williams. It taught us about why we have Chinese New Year celebration and we read a story about animals having a race. This race decided the names of each new year. We also made Chinese lanterns.
We've started our Zeraffa writing assessment today and have been using alliteration to persuade people to visit the Jardin des Plantes in Paris.
This morning we had a giant, joyful, jamming jazz concert in the hall (see what we did there?). It was great fun, especially when the drummer kept playing over Andy when he was talking. It was an exciting, exuberant and entertaining concert and we all left with a smile on our faces.
