Date: 3rd Nov 2023 @ 4:59pm
We have already arrived in November and our first week back at school has to come to a close, please look below at some of the fantastic things we have been getting up to this term:
English Exploration: This week, our English lessons were nothing short of thrilling! We had the opportunity to meet Tom, an intriguing character who has added a whole new layer to our reading journey with, "Winter's Child." We've dived deeper into the enchanting world of the book, and our imaginations have been working overtime. The children took their creativity to new heights by writing independent pieces of work inspired by the novel. It's been a joy to witness the blossoming of young authors in our midst!
Mathematical Marvels: In the realm of mathematics, we've been sharpening our skills by delving into the world of adding and subtracting two-digit numbers. The students have been embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and determination, and their progress has been impressive. We're excited to see them continue to grow as mathematicians!
Earthquake Awareness: Our georgraphy curriculum this week took an exciting turn as we explored the fascinating world of earthquakes. We learned about Giuseppe Mercalli, an earthquake enthusiast, and his scale, which is used to measure the damage an earthquake can do.
Art and Creativity: With the guidance of our wonderful Mrs Cox, we've embarked on a creative adventure as we investigated the world of photo frames. The students had the opportunity to unleash their artistic talents and craft their own personalized photo frames. It's been an excellent opportunity for them to express their creativity and showcase their artistic flair.
