Year 3 - 12.1.24
Date: 12th Jan 2024 @ 5:11pm
What a wonderful week we have had in Year 3! In English we have explored the different types of sentences we use in our work and then applied this to sentences which weren't containing any punctuation. On Friday we started to learn facts about blue whales, did you know that they can grow over 30m long? We asked the children to lie down and tested this, it took 26 children to reach the same size.
In maths we have focused on our 3- and 4-times table, learning the rules of multiplying and dividing. Towards the end of the week, we applied our knowledge in problem solved style questions.
Finally, in our humanities subject we looked at a Roman timeline, highlighting the most important features from the attempted conquering of Britain to finally the full invasion, we had a brief chat about the role Boudicca had to play.
