Year 2 - 2.2.24

This week we have worked hard as mathematicians to work on following, understanding and answering 2 step word problems. We have also been working out number sentences, ensuring they are balanced and finding the missing number.. 

For example:

52+7=60-?

Our brains have been working hard!

As writers, this week we have been working to understand how to write in the past tense. We have looked at how we change verbs to the past tense and we have swapped our sentences from present to past. We have taken on the role of Grandad and have written diary entries about his day. 

As historians we have been learning more about Tim Peake and Neil Armstrong. We've watched some amazing space videos too!
