Another fantastic and busy week in Year 2!

Here's what we have been up to...

• lots of phonics and hold a sentence work
• writing independently about the Giant from Jack and the Baked Beanstalk
• Drawing on paper lanterns and painting them to create globe maps of our own made up towns
• Making shapes with elastic bands
• Creating a wonderful science materials display
• Nativity rehearsals
• Making up red rhythms for our tricky red words
• Showing that we recognise related facts within addition to 20
• Learning about Remembrance, what and why we remember and why we wear poppies
• Collaging poppies

Next week, we will be continuing to learn the lines for our nativity, Prickly Hay. Please continue to support your child with learning their lines at home. We will also be running through the scripts in school. The songs have been uploaded to our class page. This weekend's homework is to listen to the songs and sing along!
