Another fantastic week has come to an end in Year 6 and we’ve achieved so much! We have completed another writing assessment based on the life and findings of Charles Darwin. This piece will now join many others as evidence for the end of the year.
In Maths, we have looked at the different types of angles and their sizes as well as looking at the angles on a straight line and around a point. We have also looked at opposite angles being the same as well as looking at different types of triangles. We have built up our knowledge throughout the week and then attempted to solve problems where we needed to remember the key facts covered to solve the answer. We even compared it to game with levels where you had to solve one angle before moving on to solve the others.
In reading, we have worked through the 2019 SATs paper as a class to discuss the text and our answers. We have taken time to talk through and understand how to get the full 3 marks on the longer, evidence-based answers.
