This week in Maths, we have recapped on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and started to learn how to count in 3s! We also ordered numbers from the biggest to the smallest and smallest to the biggest.
In English this week, we have taken on the role of our main character Logan and identified what we thought Logan was feeling, thinking and saying while on an exciting adventure looking for his best friend. We have used our 4 senses; smell, touch, see and hear to help us describe the forest setting in our story by writing expanded noun phrases.
We played a very exciting game of 'Rubbish Bins' in PE where we had to throw beanbags into a hoop to score points.
In Science, we explored different materials to see if we could twist, bend, stretch or squash them. We continued to decorate our lab coats.
Even though it is only October, we have made our special 'Winter Cards' ready for December. Our cards show a lovely scene of a snowman out on a very cold day. We all hope that you enjoy recieving your child's card in a few months time.
Since September, Year 1 and Year 2 have really enjoyed coming into school and starting their day with an active learning session from singing and dancing to yoga to mental maths.
We have also been practicing our song 'Cauliflour Fluffy' ready for our exciting harvest festival next week.
Just one more week to go before a well-deserved week off!
