Year 5 - 3.5.24

Date: 3rd May 2024 @ 2:40pm

This week, we completed our artwork outside, making the most of the lovely sunshine! We drew natural objects such as buttercups, acorns, dandelions, leaves and many more.

In Science, we used a Newton Meter in order to pull objects across different surfaces to see how much friction they created. We measured surfaces like concrete, grass, astroturf, carpet, wood and tables.

We have also had a great time creating our very own persuasive leaflets to encourage people to visit Ancient Greek archaeological sites. We learnt about sites such as the Parthenon, Temples and Ancient Olympia. In Maths, we have been working hard with angles, where we have used protractors to draw our own angles!

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend,
