Year 2 Weekly Blog- Friday 2nd December

Date: 2nd Dec 2022 @ 4:35pm

This week, we have been busy rehearsing for our play without our scripts which was very daunting but we took it in our stride and did a fantastic job! We have created the front cover to reflect our story 'A King is Born' for our programmes for you to see next Wednesday.

In our literacy story 'Jack and the Baked Beanstalk', Jack has bought a can of baked beans from an old man and has shown his mother who was very upset with him. We have focused on the emotions of Jack after being told off and thought about how he would be feeling and coming up with reasons why we picked those words.

On Wednesday, we went to Northgate arena for a multi-skills festival. We had so much fun and really enjoyed the opportunity to participate alongside other schools. Please take a look at our Twitter feed to view some pictures taken while we were there.

We have been busy completing our assessments in reading, writing and maths this week. We have done amazingly well and we are all proud of ourselves.

The next few weeks will be extremely exciting with the lead up to Christmas with lots of events taking place so we look forward to seeing you then.
